Chicken or Egg?

I have another question like: which came first the Chicken or the Egg. Only my question is about kids. The other day Logan was playing in the living room and all of a sudden he was over at the book case and was pulling off all of our movies. He has been crawling for a while and all of a sudden he discovered the movies. So I guess my questions is: is it programmed in all kids to pull movies off of the shelves, do they just notice everyone else doing it so they want to try or is it fun for them because they can actually pull them onto the floor? Just a question I had after picking them all up for the 50th time. He looks cute doing it, so you cant get too mad. I know it only gets worse from here, just thought that I would throw my useless thinking out there for everyone else to enjoy.

A Countdown Update

Logan got his pick-line out on Wednesday. YEAH! Now all we have left if two weeks of oral antibiotics. We still have the same schedule of giving them every 8 hours, except now we have to wake him up to give them to him. But that is okay. He also got his first real bath since the end of May, at Grandmas Jakes. I am glad that I don't have to give him sponge baths anymore. He is at the stage where he wants to move all over the place and he hates holding still. I am glad to be done with a lot of things, I guess.

Matthew also found out that he will be working at Brigdeview (which is a retirement home next to the mall). He will work the same schedule as a RN there, Joe. Joe works 12 hour shifts from 6pm to 6am. Matthew does not know how he will adjust, but he is excited to work twelve hour shifts instead of 8 hour shifts. He will just have to work to get his 80 hours. So we will see how it goes.

The Final Count Downs!

Matthew is almost done with the LPN program. They took their White Honors pictures on Monday. Their actual White Honors Graduation is July 15th. It is so close I cant believe it. It seems like he just started. We are way excited. He is doing very well. He is in the top percentage of his class. He works very hard and I am so very proud of him. He only has a couple of tests left and then he has to put in 80 hours for his preceptorship and then he is done. Then he has 90 days after graduation to take his boards and he will have his license. He wants to work for a semester and then he will be back in school for another year to get his Associates in Nursing. Hopefully then I will be able to stay home and take care of Logan. I am looking forward to that.

There is also another countdown that is about over. Logan is in his fourth week of his antibiotics. We find out tomorrow if he will get his pick-line removed and then if everything looks good we have only two more weeks of oral antibiotics. We are hoping that we don't have to give the oral antibiotics three times a day. It just gets exhausting going to bed late and then having to get up early to give them again. And I mean early for those of us who like to sleep and require sleep, like myself. We are just glad to be over half way done. Logan is doing a whole lot better. He is sure growing up too fast. He is crawling everywhere, pulling himself up onto everything and he is even getting brave enough to let go and stand all by himself for a few seconds. He sure gets proud of himself and gives you the biggest smile and looks at you like "LOOK AT ME, I AM PRETTY COOL". He is precious and we just love him to pieces. We are just glad that he is getting better and hopefully we wont ever have to go through this again.
